I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful home you created for me. Nicholas Sunderland Interiors were really superb in understanding our style preferences, and using Feng Shui so subtly   to create a beautiful, calm home. Having done my London homes, can you please call me to arrange to refurbish my country house and overseas properties, I want to be happy wherever I am...  Lady C. UK member 1463

Feng Shui in the Bathroom

The bathroom and its placement and style are most important in feng shui law.

According to the tenets of feng shui, the bathroom holds a great deal of negative chi, which can permeate around the home or office. There are a number of rules when placing of a bathroom in the home.

  • Locate the bathroom near the back of the house. It is best to plan out your home so that it represents a model of the human body.

  • Avoid having the bathroom door directly opposite the front door to prevent problems in energy movement and flow.

  • Avoid situating the bathroom next to the kitchen.

  • Be sure the window is not facing the door or the window to avoid a direct flow of energy that could be negative.

  • Have ample space between the bathtub and toilet.

  • Make sure the window is not directly opposite the door or behind the toilet, bathtub or sink.

  • Try to keep the bathroom and bedroom separate. If you are in a master bedroom, keep the door to the bathroom closed as often as possible.

But what can you do if some or all of these 'Rules' cannot be used. Feng shui can still help the situation. It can alter the energy, change your luck, and also still be a perfect bathroom! To find out how, join the cyber feng shui club.....
