I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful home you created for me. Nicholas Sunderland Interiors were really superb in understanding our style preferences, and using Feng Shui so subtly   to create a beautiful, calm home. Having done my London homes, can you please call me to arrange to refurbish my country house and overseas properties, I want to be happy wherever I am...  Lady C. UK member 1463

Feng Shui Food, more than feng shui in the home!

An introduction to eating the Feng Shui way.

Feng Shui has now moved from applications to ones external environment, to what you physically intake through food & drink. Just as you do with balancing the yin & yang energies in your surroundings, it is now believed to be just as important to balance yin & yang foods for a completely harmonious & positive life/lifestyle.

It's no secret that more & more we discover & hear about how certain foods enhance or harm our bodies/health. The importance of what you eat, combined with how & where you eat is how Feng Shui comes into play. Meals should be eaten while sitting rather than while you are "on the go". You should also relax while you eat vs. rushing through a meal. Taking your time is healthier for you and helps to properly digest your food.

But what should you eat? There are no hard lines on the exact things to eat, just be aware of their yin/yang elements.

 Examples of yin foods:

  • Sugar

  • Ice Cream

  • Fruits

Examples of yang foods:

  • Salt

  • Eggs

  • Meat

The key is to have a harmonious balance to your food intake.

As it is important what you eat, the importance of where & what you eat on is essential as well. The most favourable eating positions in Feng Shui are available to view in the members section, along  with recipes design tips for the dining room, table settings, and much more, to make meal times, both formal and informal, a memorable success.
