I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful home you created for me. Nicholas Sunderland Interiors were really superb in understanding our style preferences, and using Feng Shui so subtly   to create a beautiful, calm home. Having done my London homes, can you please call me to arrange to refurbish my country house and overseas properties, I want to be happy wherever I am...  Lady C. UK member 1463

Hello, I'm Nick Sunderland and this is my website...

You may have found your way here from my previous site, www.universalfengshui.com which has enjoyed 5 years of success, and regularly attracted over 150,000 hits a month. This new site is an extension of Universal, and I hope you will agree a deeper more fulfilling website.

Many people now follow alternative therapies and subjects for a more fulfilling existence, and it is often life's circumstances which draw us into this way of thinking and living. Just as people who perhaps suffer a deep loss of a loved one training to be a Bereavement counsellor, my introduction to Feng Shui was a matter of fate.

I spent over 30 years involved in all aspects of design and creative development. Working for some of the  largest Advertising agencies in the UK, such as Young & Rubicam and DDB Needham. My life was blessed with some success, becoming Managing Director of Groups within these organisations, but it was always unfulfilling at a personal level. I changed course at the start of the last recession, and moved into the publishing world as a relative novice, but swiftly moving up the ranks to became Divisional Director within a major plc, and it was here that my interest in Feng Shui started. A Pr agency sent me a book on Feng Shui by mistake and I was immediately drawn into the subject, and from that moment circumstances and situations were no longer a coincidence but part of the mystery of Feng Shui.

When I started  my research into this fascinating subject in the last decade of the 20th century, it seemed hard to believe that I was following in the footsteps of those who first understood the importance of nature over 5 millennia ago, and probably even further back in time. It was available only to the very rich and powerful people of those ages, from the Ancient Egyptians to the first Emperors of China. For most of this time it was secret and used only by these elite groups for the control of their empires, but over time its secrets leaked out to the population, and it soon became a natural way of life for the Chinese.

The west first heard about Feng Shui in the early 1970s when Stephen Skinner translated texts and published the first English book on the secrets of Geomancy, Feng Shui. whilst not responsible for the growth in Feng Shui in the west, it certainly led the way, and the east and west met in a flurry of growth as knowledge expanded. Masters travelled here to teach the few, and the wealthy, it almost became elitist again, but the Western culture would not allow this to happen and before long books became available to everyone, but the conflicting information in them often confused and discouraged people. By a further 'coincidence' I was introduced to Stephen Skinner, and was invited by him to help launch the soon to be published 'Feng Shui For Modern Living' to a world wide audience, it was the first full colour magazine on the subject and took the world of publishing and media by Storm. Over 64 million peopled witnessed the launch across the world. Feng Shui was here to stay...Because of this the Masters I revered became my Friends and Mentors, and I continued to train both in the UK and the Far East. I can only list those who helped, inspired and taught me. And the list grows...

Master Lam Kan Chuen, who led me to the door..

Stephen Skinner, who answered my knock…

Lynn Harris, who held my hand…

Master Raymond Lo, who invited me in…

Lillian Too, who showed me the rooms…

Master Yap Cheng Hai, who asked me to sit

Master Joey Yap, who fed me…

Gina Lazenby, who opened my eyes…

Denise Linn, who entered my soul…

Ellie Baker, who saved my life…

Karen Kingston, an angel…

Glen, who walked with me on my journey…

My thanks also to these and many, many more…
